Hey, all.

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Things have been a tad hectic. Anyways, while I mull over which Linux distro to use, I'm going back to hacking Windows system files. So far, I have:

  • Removed ease of access, shut down options, and Windows branding from alt-ctrl-delete menu and login menu
  • Removed user picture from login menu and changed the arrow orb to grey
  • Changed wallpaper of login and alt-ctrl-delete menus
  • A few minor hacks here and there
These have all been done in Windows 7 Ultimate. If anyone would like me to post a tutorial of any of these, feel free to let me know in the comments, and I will be happy to do so. If you can think of any other ugly UI issues in Windows 7 that you'd like to see resolved, let me know and I'll start working on a hack (and tutorial) for you right away!

And remember: Whenever you hack essential system files, ALWAYS MAKE A BACK UP OF THE ORIGINAL.
